Evil Geniuses have completed their roster with Owen “oBo” Schlatter, the American organization has announced. The youngster joins the team on a free transfer after parting ways with Complexity earlier this year. oBo effectively replaces Ethan “Ethan” Arnold on the roster after the 21-year-old decided to leave EG in late February to make a switch to VALORANT.
The 17-year-old had been teamless for the past six months, after he suddenly stepped down from Complexity and returned home in the middle of the team’s campaign in ESL Pro League Season 12 playoffs last September. At the time, oBo seemed set on finding a new team based in North America, but he has since said he was willing to stay in Europe for extended periods of time.
Evil Geniuses‘ roster is now once again complete ahead of their upcoming return to Europe for ESL Pro League Season 13, in which they have been placed in Group D alongside Astralis, Liquid, Virtus.pro, fnatic, and Endpoint, slated to run from March 25-29.
With the new addition, the team will be hoping to come back to form after a series of middling results, which most recently saw Evil Geniuses drop out of IEM Katowice in the group stage after a win over Gambit and losses to G2 and Astralis.
Evil Geniuses now boast the following five:
