Heroic remain undefeated in ESL Pro League S13 with win over FPX

Heroic add another victory to their ESL Pro League Season 13 tally as they took down FunPlus Phoenix 2-0, moving to the top of the Group A table.

Casper “cadiaN” Møller‘s team closed out Inferno 16-10 following a 9-6 CT half, and put up a strong T-side display on Overpass (10-5) which allowed them to finish things out despite issues on the defense, 16-13.

cadiaN topped the scoreboard with a 1.30 rating

The win over the European mixture is Heroic‘s fifth series won in a row, having dropped just one map since adding their new duo. Before the start of Pro League, they took down VOYVODA, and Cloud9 to qualify for DreamHack Masters Spring.

In the post-match interview, cadiaN said that their goal at ESL Pro League was getting out of the group, but with “a lot of benefits to get the first spot, that is what we are aiming for. Two more to go.”

When asked about the former MAD Lions players that joined at the end of February, the in-game leader noted that sjuush had an easier time fitting in, as he slotted directly into Johannes “b0RUP” Borup‘s positions. “refrezh needs a bit more space and a better feeling about what we want to do”, cadiaN added, pointing out that 23-year-old has been improving every day and had played his best series in the Heroic jersey today against FunPlus Phoenix (1.24 rating).

Complexity and OG are the last two teams Heroic will play in their Pro League group, with the match against the latter including a face-off with their former teammate Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen.
