NAVI add latt1kk to academy roster

The 15-year-old has some impressive numbers on FACEIT and has already competed in some minor regional tournaments.

Natus Vincere have bolstered their academy project with the addition of Vlad “latt1kk” Vydrin, the organisation announced on Tuesday. The Russian AWPer recently helped forZe school to win the $1,000 Ultras League Season 5 and has impressed on FACEIT, boasting a 57% win rate and an average K/D of 1.37 on the pick-up platform.

“We keep a close eye on young players and try to support the most ambitious ones,” NAVI academy manager Mykhailo “M1ke” Palamar said. “Today latt1kk joins NAVI Academy as an AWPer. Vlad has great stats for his age, but it’s just the beginning of his career. We’ll help him develop his strengths and want to give him the opportunity to perform at the highest level.”

latt1kk becomes the second player to join NAVI’s academy project in the last month, following in the footsteps of 13-year-old Dmytro “Dem0N” Myroshnychenko. The Ukrainian organisation currently has nine players in their academy set-up, including Valeriy “B1T” Vakhovskiy, who has been a backup player for the main squad since December.

NAVI are yet to announce which players will make up the new NAVI Junior squad. The team is slated to compete in the second open qualifier for the European Development Championship Season 3 this weekend.
