The Swedes have come out on top of the group with a 4-1 record and, as a result, will get to face another first-placed team in the Play-in stage and skip two to three rounds in the playoffs. With that, NIP have secured at least a top-six finish already, which will come as a big boost of confidence to Fredrik “REZ” Sterner & co. after they were eliminated early from IEM Katowice and from Snow Sweet Snow 2 in the past month.
Meanwhile, after having already booked a spot in the playoffs ahead of their final matches, ENCE and G2 have finished Group B in second and third place with three wins each, leaving Vitality eliminated in fourth place with a 2-3 record.
The early exit comes as yet another blow to Vitality, whose results have plummeted after they entered 2021 with third place at the BLAST Premier Global Final, as they have failed to make a deep run at three consecutive events since the opening tournament of the year.
