MAD Lions are set to return to action with their new lineup after announcing the signings of five players. The two most notable additions are 21-year-old Pole Filip “tudsoN” Tudev, formerly of Secret, and 19-year-old Ukrainian Volodymyr “Woro2k” Veletniuk, who was recently picked by Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev as a player to watch.
Pere “sausol” Solsona Saumell, who was a part of SAW as a substitute, and Baltic duo Justinas “jL” Lekavicius and Kristers “keen” Dārznieks round out the team, joining Thomas “TMB” Bundsbæk, the only player that MAD Lions kept from their Danish lineup.

Team coach Jakub “kuben” Gurczynski appeared on the ‘HLTV Confirmed’ podcast last week to talk about his vision for the team and the organisation’s new preference for young, up-and-coming players. He also revealed that a seasoned in-game leader will eventually be brought in to help guide the squad, which is currently made up of players with very limited experience.
“We are excited to give these rookies a shot,” senior manager Allan “Rejin” Petersen told HLTV.org. “They are eager to perform and show what they can do. We are not done yet with our lineup and will most likely add another player to the lineup.
“With the coaching staff we have behind the players, we sure are on to something great. It will take time but we are here for the long run.”
