Astralis to face OG in first round of BLAST Premier Spring Showdown

BLAST has announced the seedings for the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown, scheduled for April 13-17, forming the single-elimination bracket that will decide the two teams to qualify for the Spring Finals.

The tournament organizer explained that OG was seeded 16th “as they made a change to their submitted lineup after the deadline”. The Aleksi “⁠Aleksib⁠” Virolainen-led team, who are closing in on flameZ as their fifth, will therefore start the tournament against the Danish powerhouse Astralis.

OG are yet to announce their replacement for ISSAA

First-round matchups include a Brazilian bout between FURIA and MIBR, as well as Extra Salt‘s European debut against Spirit. After a respectable ESL Pro League Season 13 performance, Endpoint will kick off their BLAST Showdown against G2, with Thomas “⁠Thomas⁠” Utting filling in the gap for the outbound heading Shahar “⁠flameZ⁠” Shushan.
