9z to miss first RMR tournament in South America

9z are unable to return to South America in time to compete at CBCS Elite League Season 1, which kicks off on April 21, and will therefore miss out on the first South American RMR event.

The squad led by Bruno “bit” Lima had initially planned on returning to South America in time to play the RMR event after their participation at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown in Europe, but unable to find flights that would get them back home in time they have now been forced to forfeit their spot.

The bad news for 9z comes at a particularly sweet moment in the team’s history, as they recently made headlines by eliminating Vitality from BLAST Premier Spring Showdown in their opening best-of-three series before falling to Heroic in the second round.

The spot left open by 9z was given to Jonathan “JonY BoY” Muñoz‘s Furious, who finished the closed qualifier in fifth place, and they will be kicking off their tournament run against MIBR in the first round of the Swiss stage.
