Shakezullah leaves Triumph |

Alan “Shakezullah” Hardeman has parted ways with Triumph, the player has told, bringing about an end to his 15-month-long tenure with the North American organisation.

The 23-year-old averaged a 0.98 rating as a part of Triumph, a team that he was forced to rebuild from scratch on a number of occasions as players were recruited to other teams, or made the switch to VALORANT.

Shakezullah will take a step back from competition

Shakezullah was a key influence in the rise of both Paytyn “junior” Johnson and Michael “Grim” Wince in 2020, with both players crediting him for his calling ability and playing a key part in their development prior to them joining FURIA and Liquid. With them, Shakezullah topped ESEA MDL Season 33 to qualify for ESL Pro League.

With several players leaving the team in the last 15 months, including Rahul “curry” Nemani and Erik “penny” Penny, Triumph have been unable to reach their past level, playing second fiddle to the likes of Extra Salt, Bad News Bears, and paiN in the majority of events.

Despite their recent results, Shakezullah‘s departure from Triumph is a critical blow to the team as it leaves them devoid of a tenured in-game leader, a role that the region historically has struggled to fill at all levels. He may make one final appearance for the team in their ESEA Premier match against QcClan on Wednesday prior to taking his leave.

UPDATE: Following the publication of this article, Ian “motm” Hardy and Brendan “Bwills” Williams have also announced their departure from Triumph.

Triumph are left with:

United StatesAustin “Cooper” Abadir
United StatesDavid “cynic” Polster
